Thanksgiving With Nan & Paw

We managed an all too short visit to Nan & Paw's house for a Thanksgiving celebration.  I'm so thankful for my family.  They are a gift from God.

Look at the beautiful table my Mom set this year!

And of course, the turkey!  We also had sausage dressing (the BEST ever), green beans, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, rolls, and our choice in desserts (apple, pumpkin, or pecan pie!)

The kids on Nan & Paw's front porch.  She had it sweetly decorated for fall!

An after dinner football game.  They had to run off their turkey so they could have room for pie :~)

We watched Elf, as has become tradition, and we looked through all of the holiday magazines my mom has.  We chat, laughed, and cut up.  We felt an urging to go shopping the next day, but that's just because that's what you do after Thanksgiving...we were a few days early, and besides that, we had to turn around and go home.  We are counting down the days until Christmas break when Nan & Paw come visit us for a LONG visit!

Thanks, Nan & Paw, for a wonderful early Thanksgiving.  We love you!!!

So grateful for such a sweet and loving family time! Just didn't last long enough...sigh...but I'm happy it happened anyhow! Thanks for all of your help and for raising such precious sweet spirited children.

Love you all!♥

Ditto to what Kathy said.
Sound like a great time even if it was short.
