The Low Down

A Bit Busy Around Here, Lots Going On:

• Daniel's rookie baseball team came in 2nd place in tournament! (NO MORE BALL GAMES FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER!!!!)
• The kids participated in VBS last week and loved it! (NO MORE VBS TO GET UP AND GO TO THIS WEEK!)
• Because Steve's job is destined for 2nd shift soon, we opted to un-enroll our kids from the private school and continue on with homeschooling. We were encouraged to go this direction. It's important for the kids to see their dad and I've been homeschooling all of this time (nothing new) so here we go again! I'm awfully behind on things. I was shopping for lunchboxes and backpacks, not curriculum. I'll need to get on that this week.
• We celebrated Daniel's 9th birthday this weekend at Holiday World!
• My grandfather suffered from a brain hemorrage while cruising on the Caribbean, was hospitalized in Belize, and flight lifted all the way home. He seems to be doing well after such an adventure and very glad to be home!
• No news on the Haiti front. We expect some sort of update this week. Last week a representative of our U.S. adoptive agency visited with our orphanage director, officials and most importantly, Joshua! Please continue to storm the gates. We're getting increasingly frustrated on so many levels.
• We plan to swim this week, baby sit our little fella for the next couple of weeks and then I'll stop to focus on school, and try to recover what remains of our summer. It could go down as the single craziest couple of months we've ever, ever had. Ever.
• I'm 29 today. The last year in my 20s. Wow. I had to do something special for that. I'm sporting a new purple punch on the go vera bradley purse for such an occasion. :~) My first ever. I'm such a wild woman.
