Steve's Dad, Richard, quickly deteriorated last week, and then slowly let go of this earth this weekend. Last night, about a quarter 'til 8, he stirred as I was holding his hand. He opened his eyes, leaned forward and looked at me. I was able to tell him thank-you for raising such a good boy for me and that I loved him very much for it. He took one last deep breath and slipped away.
Please pray for the family in the week to come and months to come. Steve is doing well, just very tired from the week's events as we all took turns sitting with him those last day. Pray that God would plant seeds of opportunity for the Gospel through these days, and that we would be bold enough to proclaim the truth where we are able.
