Suffering Produces Endurance

Jesus is teaching me endurance. Never was one to like a long distance run. A few miles, ok. Many miles, not so much.

But Jesus wants me to have more character. I'm pretty shallow really. Shallow in a deep down kind of way. He has better plans for me. And really the only way to get there is to learn endurance.

And then, if I have character, hope will settle into my soul. A hope that does not disappoint. And the next time I go off on an adventure, it may have it's own twists and turns, but I'll have a new brand of hope inside of me from my last adventure. It will be there. It will be a love poured out in my soul, unexplainably wonderful.

As for anything Haiti, unless something new and wonderful crops up, I'm going for the "silent" type of blog from now on. When I say new and wonderful, I mean directly from my adoption agency/orphanage director type new and wonderful.

As for any news, we "Haiti Families" received an email from our agency today that the "rumor" of 50 dispensations being released wasn't validated in any way. Our time line hasn't changed at all from the in general stance of we have no idea.

Oh Amanda! I know all too well that suffering produces endurance. It's not always what we want, but it does have a way of refining us for the better. I pray every day for Haitian adoptions. I have real feelings of guilt that I have been sprung from the agony, but I continue in prayer for my sisters still on the battlefield.

I am sorry, Amanda. Truly sorry. Suffering does produce endurance, but it is still suffering. Praying for you!
