Update From The Weekend

Wow! Another crazy weekend! Two fundraisers, two weekends in a row! There are definitely people that love us! I'm worn out myself! No more fundraisers! :~) The good news is, I don't think we'll need any more massive fundraisers. I'll be saving for airline tickets and visas and updates, but those things are a good distance off, so we're chilling now! At least for the remainder of this year.

Daniel checking out goods at our garage sale.

The garage sale went very well, considering there was a huge garage sale between here and Louisville on a seperate highway, appx. 175 miles of yard sales! Most of the traffic went that direction, and we had trickles of people come in. We still made $500, so I'm not complaining!

Praise the LORD for the body of Christ! We've been ministered to greatly in these fundraisers as our church family gathers around us to work and love us in a practical way!

In other news, my husband found a flat top stove at a garage sale the other day and surprised me with it. I've been using a run down gas stove for the past two years. It heats up the whole house when you turn the oven on. I missed my old flat top, so that wonderful man found this one at a garage sale, and had it installed and ready by the time I got home from our garage sale. I was SHOCKED! He definitely surprised me. What a fella!!

He also made can stilts for the children yesterday. They loved them! Click, clack, click, clack, off they go!!! I married quite the man, folks. Quite the man.

I painted this little "autumn" sign I found on sale at Hobby Lobby and hung it on my baker's rack. I need a couple of wreaths for fall.

Have a great Monday!

I'm so happy your fundraisers have been so successful! I'm so glad your church family has been supportive - it is such an amazing feeling to be supported by the body of Christ.

Your kids look like they love the stilts.

Love that stove...it sets off your pretty red pans! I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot better...and I won't be afraid to light the eyes when I come...lol!

Hey, it looks like Avery almost has a Sarah Palan do...LOL!

Also...it is time to put on the socks up here...Dan Man is making me cold with no socks on!

Glad you can rest for a bit, I'm sure you need to!

Love you!♥

What an exciting weekend! I'm so thrilled that God has peeled away the financial barriers to bringing your son home. He could have just dropped it in your laps but how much cooler is it that He allowed you to see his love and the love others have for you through there efforts. What great support you have!!!

PS~ Could you email me so I have your address again? Sorry, the search in my emails does not work so great so I couldn't find it again. I'd love to email you info about the question you asked me.

Much love,
Angela
