EDIT BELOW:

Going with bullets:

  • Praying for Katie & Mark today. Waiting to hear news. They are waiting to be approved in Ethiopian courts today after a long wait! We are praying they wait NO LONGER for their sweet little boy.

THEY PASSED COURT!!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!! THEY ARE GOING TO ETHIOPIA TO PICK UP JUDE!!!!!!!!!

  • Started "Body Bootcamp" yesterday. 6 weeks, 2 times a week, outside of regular aerobics. A good work out and I was hoping it would help me right before the holidays. I just had a smidgen of apple bread from the apple barn that my friend Andrea dropped off yesterday while I was at body bootcamp...does she know she's trying to sabatoge my bootcamp efforts? Thankfully, the loaf didn't last long with all the other little 'piggies' that reside here. My abs are sore.
  • Joshua has an older biologicial brother at the orphanage, currently being adopted by a family not far from us. I was able to make phone contact with them last night and I was so glad. It's hard not to get discouraged, knowing they received their referral a year ago, October 11th, and aren't much closer to bringing him home. Honestly, I feel as though a "disconnect" is beginning to form within me. Of course, I still pray. A lot! But, for my sanity and for everyone around me, I have to disconnect. The time line is too uncertain. I'm still praying with faith, but dealing with reality day by day. Does that make sense?
  • Was able to do a bit of shopping for myself. I needed a pair of jeans...found a pair. My first pair of levi jeans since before I had kids. Of course, I'm no dummy. I know it's because they've entered the "stretchy" material phase. But, I still rejoice. :~) I also found a pair of black dockers with a snazzy belt on clearance, some work out clothes on clearance, and a little jacket for fall chills. I definitely need more than one pair of jeans, but it will have to wait. I'm still on the hunt for tops and Avery clothes as well.
  • We're planning on going camping Friday evening. It's a very rainy, overcast day today, but the rain is actually going to subside today and tonight on looks clear. So, I think we'll still be camping. :~) The kids are excited! Last fall our camp trip got rained out, and the fall before that, it was so cold, and Daniel had a bronchial attack and we had to leave (and our dog died)...we're up for a successful camping trip!

Have a good one!

This whole post just made me laugh and praise God. Thanks for all the funnies and encouragement! And YES, it is totally normal to develop a "disconnect" of sorts. We learned today that about a snag that will probably add at least a year to our adoption process. I HAVE to disconnect to a degree for sanity's sake, as I still have a husband to love and care for. It sure would be easier if it weren't so quiet and lonely here. I want to come hang out with those of you who are blessed with children. Your house sounds especially fun, as we are future homeschoolers!

How great that Joshua has a bio sibling that will not be far. That is so cool.

Body bootcamp...yikes...good for you!

I hope you have clear skies & lots of fun camping. It has to be better than the last trip...right?

Praising God with you! How wonderful for Jude and his family!!!

I think we have so much in common but every now and then I find a difference: Both Jeans (or denim in general) and any form of camping could be used against me as a form of torture should I ever be a P.O.W! If they put me in jeans and sent me camping I would be spilling all the secrets in a heartbeat. Good thing I'm not in the military, right?

Disconnect is a gift to help numb the waiting pain sometimes. A waiting epidural of sorts. ;) Precious little boy... I can't wait to celebrate the END of your waiting!
