Saturday's Forecast: Sunny with a high of 82However, because it's been beautiful for SO long without rain, it also means a burn ban has been issued. Reminded me of the Livesay's catch phrase: TIH (this is Haiti) but for me it would be TIA (this is adoption)!
We've checked with the fire dep't. and the sherriff's dep't. They've given us the ok. Now we'll be able to remind them of what they told us if they notice flames licking toward the sky very high on Saturday morning around 4 am. I mean, we don't need 10 gallons of diesel fuel for nothing, folks! I guess if they stop in, we can offer to sell them meat!
Seriously, we're taking every precaution with plenty of hoses available and the fire actually goes down fairly quickly. The pits are considered "enclosed" because they have tin sides and screen covers.
Lots to do between now and Saturday! It's exciting and exhausting all in one.
A little R & R will be enjoyed tonight pre-chaos. Steve's company that he works for reserved an entire theater for the new movie Fire Proof. We're so thankful that the Lord moved Steve to work for Christians! It's been such a relief and he loves his job. So, they provided free tickets to employees and their spouse, and sold the rest to others that were interested in viewing the movie early. So, we're going on a date!
