Hee hee....that's kinda how I feel right now :~)
We're back home, as of yesterday. Lots to do. I need to get a hair cut, go grocery shopping, make lesson plans and last minute purchases for the first week of school. That begins Monday. Daniel has a ballgame tonight. After this week, four more weeks to go, and then a sports break!
We passed out our bbq fundraising tickets at church last night. We've handed out about 180 tickets. Hopefully, they'll all come back *S*O*L*D* :~) We actually printed out 500 tickets. Crazy, huh? We'll be passing out tickets at church on Sunday as well. I figure, we've got 6 weeks to sell. The important thing these first few weeks is convincing people to sell the tickets! If everyone takes 5-10, which most people did, and then sells them, that'd be SUPER great. Very exciting.
So, I heard the
big news.
Gassant, an important key in Parquet, resigned. I've heard this is a very positive thing in the Haitian adoption realm. I do believe that any hindrance removed is a blessing, but I am the realist that also says, "they have to replace him." Now, that God would grant our adoptions favor and replace Gassant with someone adoption friendly, who just happens to sign his name a little faster! May they replace him very soon!
"Fret not yourself over evildoers and be not envious of wrongdoers, for they will fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb." Psalm 37:1
On the way home, we had stopped for gas, and I happened to see the USA Today. I quickly plopped in my 75 cents, when I saw this article on the FRONT PAGE:
It was actually a well executed article, on the front page of USA Today, giving some press time to the visa delay situation and some Hague treaty issues. As much as I know this needs to be out there, of course as a current adoptive mom, it makes my stomach lurch.
Trust in the Lord and do good: Dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3
In a couple of weeks, Joshua will be 1! We're busy getting ready for that. I have some fun things up my sleeve, even though he's all the way in Haiti....the kids are wanting to celebrate, and celebrate we shall. Sometimes the uncertainty of it all definitely haunts me. But I go back to the fact that it's just simply too late not to love him in every way we know how. What if something horrible, horrible happens? Well, it shall always go down in the record books that we loved, loved, loved this little boy thousands of miles away. It also fuels our prayers to a Just, Holy God. He does all things well.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:5

Missing you all! :(
I'm praying your fundraiser is a huge success! Thanks for sharing that article...very interesting.
Have fun preparing for Joshua's birthday. We celebrate here in July for Anchise with cake & all. It's the best we can do from so far away. Praying they are both home by their next birthday.
You might want to drop some of your BBQ tickets off at KAS & to Alesha at DCTFCU, if you haven't already :)
