We rang in the New Year with friends last night. A trip to Texas Roadhouse, and then later, our church family gathered for a time of looking back, looking forward, singing and prayer. We counted down to 2K10 with our children gathered around, and until that moment, I wasn't all that enthralled...but there's something about the sparkle in a child's eye and the giddy excitement when they are jumping up and down shouting Happy New Year!
Today, we woke up, ate breakfast, talked about what we would like to see/accomplish in 2010, our prayers and desires, and then....we played Spades. ALL. DAY. LONG. We never got out of our pajamas. Man. You gotta love friends that don't mind you all greasy, stinky, and in a somewhat sour mood. That's the kind of love that makes me forget my sour mood and enjoy life! So, that's what we did. We enjoyed life today, in our pajamas, around a table, playing spades!
The transfer from 2009 to 2010 was tough, in it's own way that only someone in a holding pattern would understand. But, I must trust the God who knows the end from the beginning. He will bring about all of His good pleasure. I'm truly thankful for a church family that has entered into our burden and prays passionately, without us even asking...so thankful.
So, Happy 2010 to my dear blog friends I've met along the way, and may 2010 bring the answer to so many of our prayers. And should He tarry far more than we desire, may He grant us the grace to accept His providence and know that He's working it all out for good. May we truly know that we have far more than we deserve.
And, thanks, my sweet Momma, for the picture above. Yes, that's what we look like! I do hope you're feeling better soon. Bless her heart, she's sick, and rang in the new year very unpleasantly...so, get well soon, sweet momma! Thank-you for your prayers in 2009! I'm so thankful for a praying mom!

Happy New Year to you, Amanda! May God bring Joshua speedily into your arms in 2010.
Tears~~that last bit got me! Yes I'm up late from sleeping between three bouts of the worst flu I think I've ever experienced. So much for getting a flu shot...sigh!
Happy 2010...love each and every one of ya'll!♥xoxo♥
Amanda, Thank you for rejoicing with us. The funny thing about your comment is that I actually HAD written a letter to my congressman yesterday but was waiting until Monday to mail it. God knew!
I am PRAYING fervently for good news for your Joshua as well!!
