Some Relief...

A few things I found relieving today.

* Dr. B., our orphanage director, is aware of the correct spelling of Joshua Steven (not Steeven) and all of his documents have the correct spelling. This is NO SMALL THING. I've heard terrible stories of mispelled documents. Continue to pray that they go over things with a fine tooth comb. No Steeven. Only Steven. After his daddy.

* Dr. B. is also aware of some very important documents that we'll need throughout the next steps. I was concerned about this and that the connections would be made (this concerns death certificates and such, which are hard to come by in Haiti). So, double check.

* And last but not least...Dr. B. has told our agency that he anticipates that we could be out of IBESR within the next three weeks. Of course, he had shared with us that he hoped we would be out in May and it didn't happen. But, my feelings are still that surely we will get out soon as the files trickle out. Please pray that this would come to pass.

* If you'll notice in the side bar --->> You'll see a list of steps that still need to be accomplished. As they are accomplished, I will add the date, so you can see how close (or far, depending on how you view the cup, full or empty) we are to bringing Joshua home. I would be amiss to throw out a homecoming hopeful date at this point though I have my "secret wishes." Maybe one day, I'll be able to share my hopes here. But for now, I'm silent.

* In other news, the insurance adjuster came by yesterday in the pouring rain and took pictures of our leak spots in our ceiling, and inspected our roof. He told Steve that yes, we will need a new roof. We are VERY thankful for this. Hopefully the check will be cut enough to cover this after our deductible. But, a new roof will only increase the value of our home and make it look much nicer, so we are happy. We couldn't just get a new roof. So, we're thankful.

* We're trying to make the most of our summer, with trips to swimming pools and parks and watching baby L., the library and such. Steve's dad has multiple health problems so we've been dealing with that, too. We have more stressers in our life than we have had in the past. We're trying to make the most of it.

I borrowed your idea for adding upcoming dates to the sidebar. Sometimes I'm afraid people misunderstand and think that when we finally get out of IBESR, that's it. If only! Hopefully the pending dates will clarify a little ...
