- Friday night, we had a "Mom's Overnight Out." I didn't stay overnight, but 2am is definitely into the morning, right? Dutch Blitz, pool, and crazy group games, and don't forget yummy snacks and superb fellowship...just what this momma needed. The only thing I feel like we completely forgot and should be reprimanded for was nail polish. I mean, come on. A slumber party just isn't a slumber party without nail polish. ;~)
- Saturday, clean, clean, clean the house. Steve had been craving steaks for a while, and he had worked all day, so I planned a nice quiet steak dinner with friends, and after that we visited a local coffee shop. Yummy-o.
- Sunday, the message was amazing. A simple, somber reminder that we may plan our days, but the LORD directs our steps. We are but a mist and should not boast of tomorrow. I appreciated the fact that though we should use "If the Lord will's" more frequently, P.T. reminded us that it's not a magic formula, but a heart posture for each day. A timely message for my heart. A reminder, too, that aids God's people when tough times come. I was reminded of Anchise and the Salzwedel family...how though they are devastated, they are looking unto God and not despairing. When we appreciate the treasure of God's sovereignty, it comforts us in the most difficult times. Praise God!
- Enjoyed the end of a Sunday last night in front of a fireplace. THAT was great. The first of the season. We have to bum off of friend's fireplaces, since we don't have our own. It was nice.
- School continues to move forward around here. I averaged grades a week ago, and the reports showed all A's for both kiddos. Daniel just started "elementary chemistry" and so far he's LOVING it. They are both in China, just different time periods, for history right now, so we'll enjoy the orient this week. Other than that, your basic math, workbooks, drills, grammar, etc. I need to look up some timely Thanksgiving projects. :~)
- Bought my first Christmas gift this weekend. That was fun. Looking forward to the holidays, but I'm a pretty big advocate of not skipping Thanksgiving.
- I'm in a knitting mood. Just finished a washcloth. Would like to make a scarf for Daniel, and I'm currently wrapped in my own scarf thinking how nice it would be to have an actual wrap or throw...how ambitious am I really?
- How am I doing? I don't walk through life constantly devastated or despairing. I do have teary-eyed moments, most of the time if I'm alone. I want Joshua home. My heart dares to dream on a regular basis that it could happen soon. With God, all things are possible. Even Haitian adoptions. Praying God will move, again this week. The awesome thing is, I don't have to see it all to know that He is working. That's comforting. He's parted bigger waters than these. He's the mover of mountains. I'm so comforted by His love.

Hiya chicka! Sorry I've been slacking on comments. I'm reading, just not always commenting.
