God is Good

I wish I could share some amazing, in depth experiences I had this week as I sought the Lord. The truth is, often my prayers were brief intermissions among my busy days. The beginning of the week showed that I was more focused and the end of the week showed how weak I truly am. Easily distracted. Much like Peter....focus on Christ and I do much better...stare at the waves and down I sink. I've prayed scriptures when I grow weary of my own words. I try not to lose heart at growing weary at my own words and thinking that surely HE must be weary with my words. He's not. He doesn't grow weary. I'm thankful that my walk with Him doesn't rely on feel good, mushy feelings.
When I can not trace His hand, I must trust His heart.
I did see a very important answer to prayer this week as a sister in Christ faced the possibility of a cancer diagnosis. Oh how we stormed the gates of heaven for her. I could NOT imagine the possibility at her young age, having just had a baby 6 months ago...and God answered with the answer that we all desired. She does NOT have cancer. He does hear. He does answer. Praise God for His goodness!

God may not pull us out of IBESR this week. (Only approximately 5 business hours left of the day for our agency to contact us) But He hears. He answers. He's still good. Sorry if this is repetitive. I must repeat it to my own soul. Over and over. And over.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. --Psalm 118:8-9
Save us we pray, Oh Lord! Oh Lord, we pray, give us success! --Psalm 118:26
Good news refreshes the bones. --Proverbs 15:20
Commit your way to the Lord and your plans will be established. --Proverbs 16:3
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, throughout all generations forever and ever. --Ephesians 3:20-21
