Back From The Weekend Excursion

Long story, but the closing deal on the house will now be taking place via overnighted documents and notaries. Ugh. At least it's taking place.

We still went to W. Ky, in spite of the above fact to have a long put off visit with friends and family.
Didn't get many pictures. The kids had a ton of fun...lots of fishing, riding the four wheeler with Papaw and running around outside. Yes, just running. Made me want to live in the country again. Not there. Here. But the country. But no pictures of it.

One very near catastrophe was when Avery was helping load the van to go home and decided to help out by locking everything. Steve had left the keys in the front seat. Yep.

He was able to get it open without a locksmith...which was pretty amazing. And we weren't late for church!
Here are the pictures I did get. :~)

Mamaw & Papaw Draper, our "adopted grandparents." We stay with them, but they aren't blood related. They just love us.

Our visit with Mamaw Smith. We took her out to lunch and visited with her for the afternoon. She gave Avery one of the porcelein dolls my mom had gifted her with one year for Christmas. Oh, Avery thought that was FABULOUS. She's named her and can't wait to put her out on a shelf. Mamaw looked so pretty in her new outfit. It was nice visiting with her. By the way, she is my great grandmother, my children's great, GREAT grandmother. Cool, huh?

We sold the last of our preorder tickets for our BBQ Sale last night. Gotta add it all up this morning. Later taters.

Dearest Avery gets it honest, Nanny is quite famous for locking things up to be helpful ;D
