Tara Livesay offered up a great post to let us know what it's currently like in Port Au Prince. Very wet, little wind, roads a mess. I'm glad to hear that things aren't as bad as they could be. However, in the peninsula of Haiti, things are a mess. Deforestation, mudslides, evacuations. Continue to pray for this country.
Read what sounds like good news on A Child's Voice. Madam Beaudin has been nominated for the minister of social affairs, and she will appoint a new head of IBESR, if nominated. She wants the adoption process to run smoother in Haiti. Pray for quick nomination and movement. Not sure where movement stands since Gassant was removed. We may sit in IBESR for a while, now. Bummer, huh? I'm trying to "realize" this, without loosing my hope that something could happen. Things were beginning to pick up it seemed. Now, we may be in the midst of another stand still for a while. I just don't know. I do know that nothing seems to move quickly there, and with storms and so many things to deal with....it doesn't look as if things will move quickly.
We began our adoption journey officially January 6, 2008. So, September will make my first 9 months. It will be like having the gestation period of a multitude of elephants by the time it's all said and done. I would be thrilled with the gestation period of ONE elephant. Hmm. We'll see.
I keep thinking that God is setting the stage to do something amazing in Haiti. I know that HE already knows the outcome of this adventure. He is our peace.

His ways our better than our ways! It is good to know He is in control every step of the way & He is planning something amazing for our kiddos.
I'm glad you have some contact with those in the actual city where our Joshua resides.
Paw prayed for him at breakfast this morning. We had a sweet time together over prayer!
Love to ya'll!♥
This really is such great news. I'm celebrating with you!!
We could have managed having quite a few elephants during our wait time. We didn't have any elephants but I sure did have a cow a lot of times!!! ;)
Love you,
angela
