This was such a field trip that Nan would have enjoyed! I was wishing she was with us so much! She loves flowers, plants, herbs....walking through made me think of her! We'll definitely have to visit the garden when she comes for a visit during a good season. Nan, there was one plant in particular we want you to find and raise...it's called Lamb's Ear. It's SO soft and fuzzy! There's a picture of it in the slide show. The kids enjoyed the bugs. They know a lot about bugs. They even saw some real bugs...a black widow and brown recluse. Oi. Good thing they were behind glass. That was bad enough. Right up their alley. Afterwards, we hit the park for a picnic lunch, and we've been doing school all afternoon. Big day.

You are such a cool Mom/teacher!!!
Hey Amanda, I have a special request. Could you set your preferences so that your entire blog posts (as opposed to just a few sentences) will show up in a feed reader? I enjoy reading your blog, but I don't always have time to leave my feed reader to go view the whole post. Of course, you may have reasons for having it set the way you do. If so, that's cool. I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask... Thanks! :)
