Talking To Wilson

Anybody remember Wilson from the movie Castaway? Well, it sort of feels like my blog is a typed up conversation with my personal "Wilson" here lately. As much as I jump on the computer and check Wilson and all of my sidebar buddies, nothing's happening. I miss Angela, and I really hope she gets some good news soon...but I miss her being around, and I've never even met her. I REALLY miss Bryn. The "O" has had internet issues for what...2 weeks now? Ok, 10 days...but that's enough to feel like two weeks. I feel like she's my only connection to Haiti, and she has no idea who I am. LOL I just love to read about the going-ons of the "O" and I continue to hope that one day her camera will get a glimpse of my little fella.

We cheered on our buddies last night at the East Side Championship Rookie Game!!! They Won!!! Yeeeeee-haw! :~) Are they going to Disneyland??? Nope...but I bet they get to ride in the big-time Christmas Parade in November :~) Hey! I think that's cool!!!!

We went blueberry picking for the first time yesterday. Great time for the camera battery to die, no? At least you can now see the results of that picking. DELISH!!!!

Honey Wheat Blueberry Muffins

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/2 tsp finely shredded lemon peel (I substituted a splash of lemon juice)
1/2 cup fresh blueberries

In mixing bowl (or your trusty KA mixer) stir together all dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Grease muffin tins or line with paper bake cups. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until done.
Makes 12.

I doubled the recipe, no problemo.

I think we'll go relax by a pool today, and then I'll grocery shop and prepare for a backyard campout birthday party for some little dude we know that's turning 8.

I know what you mean. Angela says when she goes to her mom's on Monday she will better access to the internet. She misses everyone also. I also miss Bryn and her pictures. I like reading your blog. I feel like we met.
