Well, I'm at home right now instead of church. My bub came down with a virus or something, so he and I are chilling on the homefront today. I always miss church when a kiddo is sick. However, I'm thankful that in a little bit, I'll be able to watch the service live via the internet. That's really cool!
So, Bub began to show sick signs yesterday and Steve & I had a date planned. It sort of fizzled. We ran to Panera and had supper, then a few errands, then back home. Sure enough, my mom instincts were right and he was getting warmer as he sat and watched a movie. I'm a big Panera fan and couldn't wait to take Steve there for the first time...he'd never been. Well, it was somewhat of a flop. They forgot the caramel in our iced caramel lattes. They forgot the chicken on my Asian Sesame Chicken Salad. They left a piece of paper wrapper on Steve's cheese within his Italian sandwich. Yeah. Oh well. We had planned to go the movies. However, I didn't want to get a call about Bub in the middle of an expensive movie. So, home we went.
It's almost a good thing for me to be home. I've been running around like crazy the past few days. I need to catch up on life and so many things. Sis is doing well. She's written about 4 letters to her buddy now, all of which say the same thing. They called and chatted with her yesterday when they arrived in Texas. She loved that. We still need to figure out how to play Webkinz together and not just at the same time.
It's strawberry season! Here's the peck we picked last week! We had such a crowd there, but my camera battery dies at the most awful moments. Cristina, send me the pictures when you get a chance. I can't wait to see my parents in a few days. We have fun times with them planned, including a family reunion, which I would love to pick fellow adoptive parents brains about sometime this week. More on that later.
Have a Blessed Sunday!
