Monday Madness

I feel bad for Mondays. Mondays get a bad rap. But, I have to say, after such a glorious Sunday we had, it's hard to be a Monday and follow up. Wonderful, needed worship services, excellent hospitality with friends, fresh air for my kiddos (and no broken bones swinging from tree houses and jumping on trampolines)...it's all good! We drove home last night from church and I couldn't help but think of how I love the Lord's Day! I love that He's given us a day of rest and enjoyment and worship. I love how it spills over into the week. Because of Sunday, I feel an extra pep in my step for Monday. Mondays are the days I need that extra pep most of all.

School is now T-3 weeks & counting. We're all counting. I've experienced some definite spring fever this year. I've been assured by other homeschoolers that February is a perfectly normal time to want to begin summer vacation. (No, that's not what we did...we just FELT like it) A's very excited about graduating from Kindergarten. She's expecting it to be very special, so I feel the need to rise to the occasion. The plan is to take her out for ice cream after we video record her newfound, kindergarten learned talents. Found out that D won't be having his first ever piano recital this year, due to his instructor having a new baby. I was a bit sad about it, but I know there's next year. He's worked very hard with little grumbling on the piano, so I'm very proud of him. Maybe we'll have our own "recital" to video record for the grandparents.

We're entering ball season. It's a new thing for A. Her teeball team is the Cubs and it consists of mostly girls. Does that tell you anything? It'll be all about the cuteness factor, folks. This is D's first year of Rookie. His team is the Rockies. It's the pitching machine and strike outs. Mom's a bit nervous. We love being on the ball field in the summer. So, buy me some peanuts and cracker jack.....

On the adoption front:

*****Praying that this week will be the week our friends Katie & Mark get "the call" with their referral from Ethiopia. They've been waiting, waiting, waiting. I pray their phone rings bright and early this week!!!

*****Our French translations arrived Friday, and I'm sending everything to Washington today, via Fedex. It'd be cool if it only took one week, but I expect it to take around two....maybe next week sometime we'll get the stuff back. Either way you look at it, we'll be right on target for my goal (which was to have the dossier complete by Mother's Day) Then it will be off to the copier to make a kabajillion copies, and we'll be FINISHED WITH THE DOSSIER!

Ya'll have a GREAT Monday...if it's anything like mine, the laundry, mop, and dust cloth are calling, and so is 2nd grade math and kindergarten phonics.

Blessings,

We had a wonderful day yesterday too! God really worked on my heart yesterday and I felt broken, and so thankful for the mercy of our Lord!

I have to ask.....was your picture taken in Destin, FL. We have one that looks just like that! :) Those white sands and emerald waters look so familiar.

Thanks for your prayers!! They are precious to me ...and to the Lord, I think. ...I just pray that he is inclined to answer them with a "yes!" ;)

By the way, thanks for adding the other identity/sign-in options! :)
