Deep Sigh Of Relief

Just received an email from the Stork Lady.

"Got your 7 documents yesterday. We're taking them to the US Dept of State this morning and then over to the Embassy. She never gives us a set date when to pick them up, so we just go back every day until they are complete. "

I'm just SO glad to have them in human hands. The idea of my paper pregnancy sitting on a door step somewhere was just terribly frightening. Another adoptive parent, LivingPureReligion, had a great blog entry today on paper pregnancies. It does feel like a pregnancy for me in so many ways.

Right now, in particular, the fact that we don't know if it's a boy or girl. Oh my goodness, I'll be SO happy to know!

In other news:

• My Father-In-Law is having a blockage surgery in his leg today. Pray it goes well.
• My great grandmother is having surgery on her wrist, as she broke it last week. That also needs prayers.
• We spotted a snake on our lawn while reading Prince Caspian yesterday. Yikes. Nope, we didn't grab it up to make it a pet. No way, Jose!
• I'm going to clean out the other half of the house today in preparation for a yard sale.
• Our Ball Jamboree was cancelled, for all ya'll family members dying to see our ball players in uniform. Don't worry. As soon as I actually have uniforms and we're actually playing games, I'll hook ya up :~)
• American Idol: Oi Vay. I totally dig the fact that Jason Castro is a professing Christian and all that, but when you're down this far, folks, talent has to win over at some point. He has style and his own "thing" going, but vocally, he just doesn't have what it takes to beat out the other contestants. I say he goes tonight. But I'm not a prophet nor the daughter of a prophet, so what do I know?
• Off to look for some great arm exercises on line. I need to bring back muscle tone in my arms or I'll be able to fly away with these flappy things.
