Big Change Numero Uno

Steve will be changing his shift at work within the next few weeks. It isn't something we wanted to happen. Alas, here we are.

So, today, we had our own way of dealing with things. Some of us cried, some of us pouted, some of us assumed the fetal position and whispered, "no 3-11, no 3-11, no-no-no-that's when Wapner comes on-no, no, no 3-11.."

But all of us enjoyed take-out mexican tonight followed by a deadly chocolate cake...Steve even had two pieces. We even sprinkled the table with confetti stars and gave Steve a good "SURPRISE!" when he walked in after a long hard day of work. Now that we've pouted....we'll resume to looking at the bright side of things. There are bright sides.

Yes there are.
Oh sorry...there I was talking to myself again.
Our landscape is changing. I'm not really into that sort of thing. But here we are. Pray that God would give me the heart to glorify Him in all things. May I be the wife and mother that I need to be for this season, selflessly living in this new scenery. There are so many things I'm really, really thankful for....and I'm going to take my pastor's advice from Sunday school and think upon all of those things He's brought us through 'til now. What God is like our God??

I'm sorry. I know from personal experience how tough that is. Jeff worked that shift for many years and it was hard. I will be praying for you guys during this transition.

My husband had a change in jobs a few years ago which led him to work nights. It was a very difficult transition for me. Sometimes it still is. I have to remind myself to be thankful that he has a job. I pray that God helps you all adjust.
