Valentine candy came out on Christmas Eve. But that's not really my point.
My point: Has anyone noticed that seasonal candy is crossing boundaries? There are lines that should not be crossed.
My point: Has anyone noticed that seasonal candy is crossing boundaries? There are lines that should not be crossed.
For instance: Candy Corn. That's for fall festivals and halloween and maybe, MAYBE leftover in the candy jar for Thanksgiving. But any good candy corn lover will make sure it's gone and a good portion of it digested and history before October 31. Not to be seen again until NEXT October.
Ahhh. But look. A new look:
And what about Peeps? Personally, they could take them off the market completely and I'd never know. But, I'm trying prove a point here, hence, we have VALENTINE PEEPS.
Any which way you package it (cute little chick or red hot heart) it's still a Peep.
What in the WORLD????
Can't we just stick to the chocolates and little dry, nasty hearts with letters on them and lollipops? And while I was doing my search for photos of the candy I mentioned above, I found chocolate tatooes and chocolate... other stuff. Wow. **snicker** NO, I will NOT post pictures for that.
What is this world coming to, slurring candy boundaries...sheesh.
I just sent my husband for chocolate and it's some-teen degrees out. That's bad. At least I know he'll bring me the good stuff.

I've not seen any of these candies in my neck of the woods.

Come on over to my place...I've got the "fire" going!
;~D
I LOVE peeps!
It's a travesty I tell ya...a travesty! Thanks for shedding some light on this haneous practice.
your funny Amanda!
You're right! They're taking all the fun out of what used to be special, once-a-year-only, appearances. I'm actually much less likely to buy these special treats nowadays. I no longer get that sense of "if I don't get one now I'll have to wait 'til NEXT Easter..." Remember when you could ONLY see a Charlie Brown Christmas once a year? No VCRs, DVDs or YouTube? Did you EVER miss it? Heck no! It was a family EVENT! I miss the joy we used to experience when we had to wait for things. Uh, oh... I smell an adoption tie-in here...
Sorry, sister.. Can't sympathize... I love peeps & they all taste the same to me regardless of the shape, color, or season. And I hate candy corn, so I dont really care what they do with it b/c it wont end up in my shopping cart anyway! haha Cute post
LOL This post makes me laugh and makes me miss you on xanga. I feel as though I'm not as connected with the goings on in your family these days. My fault for not getting over here as often. And I miss Amanda ramblings such as this one. =) Love ya, Girl. And I'm totally with ya on the whole candy issue. Not the same. Especially the candy corn. Just doesn't look right in those colors or taste right in January. =P
