Ahhhhh.....the week I've been counting down to since Thanksgiving!
Nan & Paw are coming! Whoooot! I'm so excited. We all are! It's so nice to have family in for the holidays. For me, personally, it will be so nice to have grown-ups in the house to talk to for a while! Steve's schedule has left me feeling all....empty inside. LOL No, for real, the problem with his schedule is we stay up and talk and catch up, therefore going to bed near midnight each night, which can't be wise. Poor Steve. Poor me.
Anyway, we're all excited!
In other news....baby, it's COLD outside. The forecast is calling for lots of rain for Christmas Eve and Day. Bummer. A few wispy flakes would set the mood. Maybe it will change. It sure is chilly right now!
I was so encouraged by sermons yesterday. Last night was on the Lord's Prayer. It was convicting and glorious. Our God is glorious. A couple of notes I jotted down:
Because of the promise of Hebrews 4:16, it's insane not to pray.
Prayer is the highest activity of the human soul. - M.L. Jones
Be dazzled by the God to whom we pray.
He is our greatest good.
God of the universe is concerned for something as small as our daily bread. We can totally depend upon God for all things.
We don't go to God because we're already clean. We need to be cleaned! Go with your sins and ask Him to fix it.
Glorious thoughts that I want to take with me through the week. Have a good one!!
