We made it! It was pretty tight on time, but I'm hoping it will get better as we get in the groove. Daniel had a few assignments he had to finish as "homework," but he was finished by 3:30ish. We started at 8:00, with an aerobic break, but Daniel worked on an assignment during aerobics, and then set his watch timer and he had personal reading time for 30 minutes, which will happen daily and count for his Pizza Hut book it! program. So, the reality is, he had a 20 minute lunch break and we still did school ALL DAY. Seemed like a big day. Like I said, I'm hoping it will become more stream-lined...then again, we've got a lot to fit in. We'll see. Thankfully, I've got each minute scheduled. I think that will be easier. Allowing so many minutes for subject, and if it isn't complete, it's considered "homework."
So, pictures of my pupils ;~) Daniel working on vocab and Avery learning what history is...by looking at her scrapbook of her very own history!

This is our school room...mainly posted for my mom to show her the changes...I've added a shelf, some bins, organization, and a snazzy-to-us, but used, oak table. It even has a leaf for extra guest seating when we need it. The cushy tv/reading cushions I got at Kohl's. The tv is a hand me down from Steve's sister and the cart is new. I'm wanting to add a couch or futon to this room as well, for company. It's a REALLY big, useful room. The entire other half is a play area, and even with a futon, it would still be all of these things.

Oh, and I had to post a picture of the project Avery & I worked on during our 'mommy daughter date' this month. We did stain glass. We made another one, too, but I can't show that one. It's for someone special :~) Have a great Monday evening.

Glad your first day went well! Your school room looks great.
Oh cool! It's fun to reorganize the school area isn't it?
We had our first day back yesterday as well, though we're still missing grammar. We're nearly finished up here today then we're headed to the pool! Woohoo! Gotta love that home school freedom eh?
