Drop Off Day!!!!!

I spent yesterday afternoon making a katrillion copies. 62.00 worth of copies to be exact. (5 cents/copy, with the exception of 20 color copies @ .15) That's a LOT of copies. The Kodak moment came when my pastor walked in and was opening his mail. Wouldn't you know, his Haitian flag and sticker came in while I was standing there. So, he wrapped me in the flag while I was standing by the copy machine. Why oh why I didn't have my camera then?? He's such a cool dude. He had a sticker to add to the back of his truck, too. His truck is covered in country flags that he's visited or prays for. I want one!

So, I bought that nifty green accordian file folder thinking it'd hold everything. Nada. It's busting at the seams.

I'm dropping it off today, so today begins our official wait for a referral. I'm so nervous about so many things! I'm gonna try to stop thinking about the long wait in front of us. Approximately 18 months from referral date. Yikes. Could be longer. BUT, we serve a mighty God. So, it could be shorter. You never know. I just need to take it a day at a time! I also need to continually turn my eyes and prayers toward others who've waited, waited, waited.

Right now, I just need to focus on being finished with the dossier! We need to celebrate this weekend! Nifty plans coming up. We're hosting a "last sleepover" for Sis's best little friend. She's moving away in a couple of weeks (that's gonna be SO hard, but this weekend we're focusing on FUN!) Bub's first rookie game of the season is tomorrow (they've had no scrimmage and no practice this week, due to rain!!!! Again, focus on FUN!!!) I think we'll have our official "Celebrate the Dossier" family party tomorrow evening. We'll be catching a flick! Prince Caspian of course. :~)

So that's what's going on in my neck of the woods!!! Have a great weekend!!!!!

Congratulations!! What a HUGE step. Definitely one to celebrate! I still remember with total clarity the day we Fed Ex'd our dossier to Haiti. What a GREAT feeling! It just happened to be on my oldest (bio) sons birthday. Double the celebration.

Have a wonderful weekend and PLEASE post the minute you get a referral. When we get to Haiti I'll take some extra photo's for you. ;)

Just wanted to let you know that they're saying that Prince Caspian isn't for kids... it's for tweens on up, mostly because of lots of violence. Check out these 2 reviews (one at Yahoo & one at Plugged In, from FOTF)

Didn't want your little D & A to be frightened! And I didn't want their mommy to be caught of guard! ;)

You are much more prepared than I. We have used and reused parts of our dossier from 5 years ago and keep updating the things that need to be updated. I don't think I have a completed copy of one of my dossiers and we have sent in 4 of them.............
I am praying that our dossier in Haiti is useable once again and that soon we will know we can enter IBESR with our updated homestudy attached to the same ole dossier......
WELCOME to the waiting game.
blessings
